the white christmas happened in kansas, new mexico, colorado and the texas panhandle upwards of 14 inches of snow in kansas. we had two feet in parts of new mexico and that has since gone away. what has replaced it is this which is now moving off towards the northeast. this is all for the most part, pockets of cold air in here to start the day, but for the most part, on the warm side of this. the blizzard that was yesterday is now a heat pump for the east coast today and that means that most of this is going to be rain. as we go through time, another system coming down the pipe for the northern rockies and down towards new mexico, as well. denver and parts of new mexico, including albuquerque, will once again be in the grips of a winter storm in the next 36 to 48 hours. this storm goes away and the next one comes in and this one for the east coast has a better chance of getting a little bit more white into the mix. mostly north and west of boston and new york city, but, at least for the folks in northern new england that may bring you the chance for a white christmas, everybody else stays
